HPのs3720jpを購入したので簡単にレビューする。 ※2010/06/06 電源が死亡。享年1年3ヶ月。 2chのs3000スレを見ると電源やMB絡みの故障は結構多いようだ。 確かに電源は相当熱くなっていた。メーカーコンプリートPCってのは余裕はなくとも必要十分な設計にはなってると思っていたのだが… 保証が切れてる場合修理には相当な金がかかるようなのでこいつは諦めることにした。 光沢塗装された前面パネルはシンプルなデザインで、国内メーカー各社のPCと並べても遜色ないと感じられた。 サイズが違うので比較するのもどうかとは思うが、DELL Inspironのような野暮ったさはないと思える。 内部 背面のネジを3本はずすとL字型のパネルがはずれ、簡単に内部にアクセスできる。 ヒートパイプ採用のサイドフロー型CPUクーラーを搭載しており、主にこのCPUファンでPC全体のエアフローを作り出す。 前面がパネルによって完全に封鎖されている分、サイドパネルは大胆にパンチングされており、そこから自然吸気を行う設計となっている。 マザーボードはMini-DTXに該当すると思われる(きっちり採寸したわけではないのでひょっとすると独自規格になっているかもしれない) メモリスロットはDDR2対応のものが2つ。光学ドライブに隠れているため、自分で増設する際は光学ドライブを少しずらす必要がある。メモリ増設方法については後述する。 HDDは光学ドライブの下に隠れている。HDDはトレイに取り付けられており、光学ドライブを外さなくても引き出すことができる。 拡張スロットはPCIe x16とPCIe x1がそれぞれ1つづつあり、LowProfileカードが増設できる。 ドライブベイがすぐ近くにあるため、VGAを搭載する際は長さにも気を付けたい。 騒音 搭載されているファンはCPU用、電源用の2つで、動作音は小さい。 HDDのシーク音が最もうるさく感じられる。 音の感じ方は個人差があるので断言するのは憚られるが、静音性が高いと言っても差し支えないだろう。 ベンチマーク Windows エクスペリエンスインデックス ゆめりあベンチ 1024x768 最高 スコア3014 モンスターハンターフロンティアベンチ 1280x1024 スコア356 まとめ 2.5GHzのデュアルコアCPU、GeForce9100という最新のGPU統合チップセットを採用しており、コンパクトな筐体ながら非常に高いスペックを持っている。 最新の3Dゲームを遊びたいという用途でなければ実用上十分なスペックと言えるだろう。 但し、最小構成ではメモリ1GBという点がネックになる。 チップセット内蔵のグラフィックにもメモリを食われるため、実際にWindowsが使えるメモリは1GBからさらに減る。 プリインストールソフトを削除したりすることでいくらかメモリに余裕は作れるものの、Vistaを快適に使いたいのであればメモリは是非2GBにしておきたい。 現在はメモリ2GB、USBメモリをReadyBoost用に1GB分確保して使っているが、全体的にサクサク動作して快適に使えている。 ベンチマークは申し訳程度にやっただけだが、Windowsエクスペリエンスインデックス(ベンチというわけではないが…)は安定したスコアが出ている。 s3720と同世代のミニタワー型にGeForce7100搭載のa6720があるが、そちらはグラフィック1.6/ゲームグラフィック1.0とスコアが低い(*1)また、DirectXの対応バージョンが低いのでエクスペリエンスインデックスのスコアは低いが、軽いゲームならそこそこ動くと思われる) チップセット内蔵ビデオとはいえGeForce9100を搭載したs3720はそれなりの性能と言えるだろう。 さすがにMHFベンチはカクカク状態だが、MHFベンチは実際のMHFのゲームより重いため実ゲームの動作の参考にはならない。実際のゲームの方は低負荷設定ならGeForce9100でも特に不都合なく動く。 また、筆者がプレイしているオンラインゲームのアラド戦記(2Dのアクションゲーム)程度であれば快適に動作する。 とはいえこのPCが重い3Dゲームに向かないのも確か。 VGAを増設するにしてもLowProfileのものしか使えないため、アップグレードパスも限られる。(*2)。 3Dゲームをバリバリ楽しみたいという人は別のモデルを選択するのが賢明だろう。 ※現時点(2009/3/18)の初期導入済みドライバには「フラットパネルスケーリングの変更」が保存されないという不具合がある。 そのため、フルスクリーン動作のゲームなどでアスペクト比固定拡大ができない。 s3820jp/CTがs3720と同等となる(軽く見た限りスペック的には全く同じに思える) BTOメニューでカスタマイズを行えるが、メモリ以外はいじらず低価格なPCとして購入するのが一番だろう。最小構成で購入してメモリは自分で増設するのもいい。 最小構成、送料(*3)込みで43,050円、メモリを2GBにした場合でも48,300円。 1.前面パネルを取り外す。前面パネルは筐体内にツメでひっかかるようにして固定されているので、ツメをはずしてからパネルを取り外す。 2.HP PocketMediaDriveのベイを取り外し、取り外すと見える光学ドライブを固定している黒いネジを取り外す。 3.ドライブ右手側の銀色の固定具を指で押し除けてドライブを前に引き出す。 という手順になる。 HP低価格デスクトップ2機種の比較 但しs3720jpレビューでも再三書いた通り最小構成時のメモリ1GBは若干力不足を感じるため、5250円の追加となるがメモリを2GBにしておきたい。 p6020jp チップセットの世代が古いため、グラフィック性能が低かったりLANが100BASEだったりと、マザーボード周りのスペックが若干寂しい。 しかし最小構成でも2GBのメモリを搭載しており、ゲーム以外の用途なら実用上十分なスペック。 PentiumDualCoreは2次キャッシュが少ないものの、Core2Duoに準じるスペックのCPUのため、よほど重い処理でもしない限りはCPU性能で困るようなことはまずないだろう。 ミニタワー筐体を採用しており、拡張性が高く、内部にも余裕があるため増設作業も比較的楽に行える。 但しBTOメニューでのスペックカスタマイズは行えない。 購入後に自分で好きなようにカスタマイズしたい人向けのPCとも言えるだろう。 電源交換方法 s3720jpの電源は一般的なATX電源とは違うため、単純に別メーカーの製品と交換することはできない。 サイズ的にはSeventeamのST-220FAB/24などとほぼ同じだが、ケーブルの出る場所が特殊なため使うことができない。 また、MBに接続するためのコネクタも特殊な形状となっているため、こちらもなんとかする必要がある。 この特殊形状の電源コネクタは一般的なATX電源の24ピンとピンアサインは同じであるものの、サイズが一回り小さい。 このコネクタは単体で入手できないため、元の電源についているコネクタを流用することになる。 新しい電源と元のコネクタについているケーブル同士を直接つないでもいいが、その場合新しい電源はこのPCと心中することになる。 今回は元の電源についていたコネクタを流用して通常の24ピンからマイクロ24ピンへの変換ケーブルを作ることにした。 用意するもの 元の電源についている24ピンマイクロコネクタ 電源の根本の方から切り取る。 24ピンプラグハウジング ↑用のコンタクトピン
