This shadow, is the darkest part of the picture. この影が、写真の中で一番暗い部分です。 So if you want your picture to have the full range of values, from 0-10, you have to make it a value 0. ですので、皆さんが、皆さんの絵に0から10までの明暗の 範囲を持たせたいと思うのなら、 それを段階0に設定するべきです。 The top part of the shadow on the clementine is about 1 value lighter than under the clementine. ミカンの上の、上の方の影は、 大体段階下の方の影より一段階明るくなっています。 The reflected light down here is another 1 to 2 values lighter. その下の反射光の部分は、 また1~2段階明るくなっています。 Instead of the full value range of 0-10, you can choose to go for a narrower value range, say 3-7, The darkest part would be a 3 and the highlight would be a 7. 0から10までの全ての明暗の段階を使う代わりに、 もう少し狭い範囲の明暗を選ぶこともできます。 3-7といえますが、 一番暗い部分に3を設定し、ハイライトに7を設定します。 And accommodate the other values to fit within that range. そして、その他の明暗をその範囲に合わせてください。 So it’s the relationships between all the values in the picture that really matter. つまり、一番の問題は、絵の中に於けるすべての明暗の間の 関係性なのです。 The next question is, what is the hue? 次の質問は、色相は何か?です。 Even though it’s an orange clementine, not all the colors on it are orange. たとえそれがオレンジ色のミカンだとしても、 全ての色がオレンジというわけではありません。 I’m seeing a transition from orange on the light side, to a redder hue on the shadow side. 私は、明るい部分のオレンジから、影の側のより赤い色相への 移行を見ています。 What is the chroma?
