Galaxy News Radio 概要 ギャラクシー・ニュース・ラジオのアンテナを修理する。 発生条件 G.N.R.ビルプラザにいるスリードッグと会話し、依頼を受ける。 なおスリードッグと最初に会った時にスピーチ判定を成功させて父親の情報を聞き出すとこのクエストはスキップされ、Scientific Pursuits が始まる。その後に依頼を受けてクエスト開始するのは任意。 主な流れ スリードッグと会話すると、ラジオアンテナの修理を依頼される。 技術博物館、ワシントン記念碑のマップマーカーが追加される。 GNRビル裏の瓦礫を飛び降り、崩落した車用トンネルを通ってデュポン・サークル駅へ。裏口の扉は一方通行で戻れないが、ファストトラベルがあるので帰還は自由。 マーカーを頼りに少々複雑な地下鉄を渡り歩くと、ペンシルベニア通りのメトロ・セントラルを経由してモールの博物館駅に着く。出口が2つあり、東が技術博物館前・西が歴史博物館前に出る。 地上に出たらスーパーミュータントの塹壕だらけなので、急いで技術博物館に駆け込む。散々言われているようにモールなどのDCエリアはSMが多いので、低レベルの内は注意。無理に戦闘する必要はない。 技術博物館にはミニクエスト Jiggs Loot がある。手間がかからない一方で報酬はゲーム中最強武器の一角である「クサンロング・アサルトライフル」が手に入るがいいのでついでにやってしまってもいい。「プライム氏の好意でシステムのアップグレード」と表示される端末はそれを進行させるためのもので、失敗すると再挑戦不可なので注意。 博物館の奥でアンテナ (月着陸船の上部についているパラボラアンテナ) を入手したら、西のワシントン記念碑へ。一旦博物館駅に戻り、歴史博物館側から出れば目と鼻の先。エレベーターで最上階に行き、装置を起動すれば修理完了(カルマ+200)。ここはBOSが確保しているので敵はいない。GNRビルまで戻り、スリードッグと会話すればクエスト完了。 スリードッグから報酬をもらう時、すでに父の手掛かりを得ているか否かで報酬が変化する。 詳細と補足 以下の場合は既に父の情報を得た状態なので、報酬が「ハミルトンの隠れ家」にある武器貯蔵庫のカギになる。(ミニ・ニューク、ステルスボーイ、スキル本「銃と弾丸」など)→ミニクエスト Caching in with Three DogFollowing in His Footsteps でスリードッグにスピーチを成功させて父親の情報を聞いている。 リベットシティのDr.リーに父の行方を尋ねている。 Tranquility Lane で父親を見つけている。ただ、下2つのパターンは Following in His Footsteps 中の Brotherhood との共闘前にしてしまうと、初めてGNRに来る時に共闘が発生せずベヒモスを含むスーパーミュータント戦を独りで行うことになるため、フラグを立てる順番に注意。 手掛かりを得てからスリードッグの依頼を受けるのも、スリードッグの依頼を受けてから手掛かりを得るのも結果は一緒だが台詞は少し変わる。後者の方が会話の流れとしては自然。 GNRから出た後のルートでは、随所にBOSのマークと共に道案内がある。 GNRからのルート例①GNR裏の駅からメトロジャンクション(地下)へ②線路に出たら右側の路線をたどって二階に → 右側(マップ下側)の出口からデュポンサークル(地上)へ③左側の廃屋内の1階を通って裏口に出て、再度別の裏口から同じ建物へ → そこから2階へ行くと渡し板を通って隣の建物を通り、ブティック付近へ出られる → 地雷に注意しながらブティック横の通路を抜けると最小限の戦闘でデュポンサークル駅(地下)に④構内を道なりに進んでメトロセントラルに。 → 線路を進んで広い空間に出たら階段を三回登って道なりに進むとペンシルベニア通り(地上)へ⑤地上に出てから右側に進み、少し進んだ所にある交差点左側の奥にある入口からモール・メトロ(地下)へ⑥そのまままっすぐ進み反対側の出入り口からモール(地上)へ⑦地上に出ると公文書館の裏側に出る。公文書館正面の先にあるミュータントの塹壕の反対側が技術博物館。進路上以外のミュータントは無視して突っ切ればゴール。 GNR裏からデュポンサークルに出たばかりのフィールドと崩壊した車用トンネル内の開けた場所は、廃車とグールの群れが密集しているので遠くから誘爆させて一掃するのに丁度いい配置になっている。爆殺エリア。 途中通るデュポンサークル駅のコンピューターでメトロ・プロテクトロンを起動すると、その後スーパーミュータントと出くわす。すぐ戦闘が始まると思いきや、一旦専用の会話が始まる。 ここの地下鉄はグールとレイダーの巣窟。デュポンからだと大回りコースで移動距離が長いので、適当なところで地上に出てマップポイントをチェックしておくとよい。 ウェイストランドから目的地への最寄り駅はアナコスティア交差点。リベットシティを既に見つけている場合はこちらから来るのが最短で、極力戦闘を避けたい人や手間をかけたくない人にもこのルートの方がお勧めなのでGNRのクエスト開始前にリベットシティをマッピングしておくといい。アナコスティア交差点駅のホームから線路をマップ上側に進むと博物館駅に → ホームから階段を上りマップ右側の出口から地上に出ると技術博物館は目の前。 メトロセントラルは二層式で路線が十字に交差していて、それぞれ 北:テュポン、南:博物館駅(モール)、東:フリーダム通り(ヴァーノン広場)、西:霧がかった最下層の駅(ジョージタウン) 行き モールで敵に囲まれどうしようもなくなったら、ワシントン記念碑 (どこからでも見える高いオベリスク) に駆け込むのも手。大抵BOSが守っているし、エレベーターでてっぺんに行けばファストトラベルもできる。ゲートを開けた直後の通路左側の壊れた壁から塔の裏手へ回ると、ミサイルとミサイルランチャーがある。 クエストを完了すると、エンクレイヴラジオ同様にウェイストランドの全地域でGNRを聴けるようになる。スリードッグのDJを楽しみたい場合には必須。また、クエスト完了後に聞く最初のGNR放送では特別生放送が流される (いつもの放送は録音)。プレイヤーの事も定期的に放送するが、カルマによっては悪人呼ばわりされて盛大に罵倒される。 サブクエストをクリアするごとにニュースの内容が増えていく。どのように解決したかによって報道内容も変わる。あくまで真実を伝えるラジオのため、クエストを不善な形で解決すると、主人公に対する批判・皮肉を言うようになる。ただし情報には偏りがあるのか、一部のクエストはどんなにいい方法で解決しても皮肉っぽく報道 (例:Rescue from Paradise など) されたり、そもそも報道されなかったり (例:Oasis など)、どう解決しても皮肉を言われたりする。好意的に報道されるのは、あくまでスリードッグが自由に仕入れることができる情報のみだということも頭に入れておこう。 クエスト中にスリードッグが死亡するとクエスト失敗になる。Scientific Pursuits が始まっていない場合、The Search Continues というクエストが始まり自力で父親の行方を捜すことになる。 報酬 経験値 400XP G.N.R.の全土放送 父親の居場所の手掛かり、メモ:Dr.リーの写真または武器貯蔵庫のカギ (クエストをこなす順番に注意):Caching in with Three Dog バグ情報 指示通りGNRビル裏口から出ないと、戻ったときにビルに入れなくなるというバグがある模様。Fallout 3 Wiki JP では逆に、正面玄関から一度も出ることなくすぐに裏口から出てしまうと正面から入れなくなると書かれているがどちらも未確認。 リンク The Vault (英wiki)
