<参考URL> 音のストリーム理論への賛否 http //academy6.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/english/1236221058/ http //mimizun.com/log/2ch/english/1236221058/ (ミラーサイト)

6 songs from Taiwan(4th) 日本語ページ: 日本の6曲 / ハンガリーの6曲 / 台湾の6曲 English Page: Japan 6 songs / Hungary 6 songs / Taiwan 6 songs If there still a tomorrow (如果還有明天) / Simon Hsush (薛岳) Encounter like duckweed (萍聚) / Lee, Yik Kwan (李翊君) Wander in Tamsui (流浪到淡水) / Kingmen Wang and Bing-Huei Lee (金門王與李炳輝) The Moon Represents my Heart (月亮代表我的心) / Teresa Teng (鄧麗君) Moonlight (Ana tupa tu 月光) / Biung(王宏恩) Take me to the moon (帶我去月球) / Tom Chang (張雨生) If there still a tomorrow (如果還有明天) / Simon Hsush (薛岳) hanocha6428.jpg Simon Hsueh, a Taiwanese rock singer and music producer, died of liver cancer in 1990. Before he passed away, Simon Hsueh produced his 5th album "Life". Experiencing "being born, old, sick and dead", Hsueh clearly manifested his whole life in this album. There is no doubt that Hsueh lit up his final days and made an unforgettable exit from his music career and dreams. In this album, the hit song "If there is still a tomorrow" is the last representative work of Hsueh. He sang with his full power and emotion, "If there is still a tomorrow, how are you going to dress yourself? If there is no tomorrow, how are you going to say goodbye?" Encounter like duckweed (萍聚) / Lee, Yik Kwan (李翊君) hanocha6429.jpg Encounter like duckweed: Encounter like duckweed means two strangers meeting each other by chance. In other words, "to meet by chance like patches of drifting duckweed". In our lives, we experience so many instances of meeting followed by parting. Each time, we are filled with different emotions, different extent of joy and sorrow. This cycle of meeting and parting often makes us confused, as we are forced to depart from the people we have just met. This situation of meeting and parting is similar to the instance of floating duckweed. Wander in Tamsui (流浪到淡水) / Kingmen Wang and Bing-Huei Lee (金門王與李炳輝) hanocha6430.jpg "Wander in Tamsui" was written by Ming-Chang Cheng for a beer commercial in 1995, and was sung by two blind singers Kingmen Wang and Bing-Huei Lee. The song and the singers soon became well-known everywhere in Taiwan. The lyrics at the beginning of this song say, "No matter what, we are here together. Let s drink some, cheers!" The song also receives the ninth Golden Melody Awards for best composer in popular music. On 2003/11/29, the Taipei County government had a stone engraved with the lyrics of the song, which represent the characteristics of Tamsui. The stone now stands by the Lovers Bridge in Tamsui Fisherman s Wharf. The Moon Represents my Heart (月亮代表我的心) / Teresa Teng (鄧麗君) hanocha6431.jpg Not too many songs can live so long in everyone s heart as "The Moon Represents my Heart", which has been sung in all Chinese communities for 35 years. Almost every Chinese knows that Teresa Teng sang this song. But very few people know the original singer is actually Fan-Lan Chen. When the composer, Ching-Shi Ong, talked about this song, he said, "I felt lonely during days I was studying abroad in Boston." He was 38 years old at that time. He often took a walk to the park nearby, observing the loving couples in the park, and fell into a state of melancholy. After returning to Taiwan, Ching-Shi Ong gave this song to Leico Records for publishing, and the song was in Fan-Lan Chen s album "Dreamland". Later, Teresa Teng heard the song and found it suitable for her. Before this, no one could imagine that a song could be so famous. Then, more than 80 artists from Taiwan, Hong-Kong, Japan, and other countries, have sung this song. There are also more than 30 pure-melody versions. He has written and produced many songs in both the Bunun language and Mandarin. Simply by playing the guitar and singing with his natural, clear voice, Biung has shown us the songs he truly wants to sing. The night before Biung left home to pursue his music career, his grandmother took him to the backyard and said, "My beloved grandson, I have a present for you." Grandmom pointed at the moon and said, " I want to give you the moon. No matter where you are, the moon will always be there. If you ever struggle, remember, just watch the moon. Through the moonlight, my prayer will be with you." Biung wrote the song "Ana tupa tu" in Bunun language for his loving grandmother. He would also like to share with you this special gift and blessing "We should feel happy even when we lose what we used to rely on, because the moonlight will always be there for us..." Take me to the moon (帶我去月球) / Tom Chang (張雨生) hanocha6433.jpg "Take me to the moon" is in Tom Chang s third album, which was released right after he finished his military service. The music video was nominated in American Video Awards, 1992. The lyrics quoted a great ancient Chinese poem, "Let s Cheer Again" by Pai Lee. The lyrics also talk about how much Tom Chang wants to escape from the depression that military service brought him. In the song, he mixed modern rock with classical symphony, making the best combination of contemporary and classic . Now, let s enjoy the song "Take me to the moon".

SET LIST from Taiwan (English ver) English page Japanese 10 songs , Hungarian 10 songs , Taiwanese 10 songs 日本語ページ 日本の10曲リスト , ハンガリーの10曲リスト , 台湾の10曲リスト Wu Bai - Made in Taiwan Jiang Huei - Wife Huang Ke-lin - Going Backwards The Clippers - Turn On the Disco Ball! Labor Exchange band - The Night March of the Chrysanthemums Jeanette Wang - The Sky of Taipei Difang - Elders Drinking Song Bobby Chen - When the Drum Rolls Chang Yu-sheng - I Expect Richie Ren - Take the Road Again Singer Wu Bai (伍佰) Song Name Made in Taiwan (台灣製造) hanocha4853.jpg The following singers we going to introduce are Wu Bai (伍佰) and his band, China Blue. Wu Bai is one of the famous rock stars in Taiwan. He is a rare kind of singers who compose songs both in Taiwanese (Min-nan) and mandarin. Writing fluent lyrics in different dialects is not easy, and making them to impress all the people is definitely more difficult, but Wu Bai did it. His mandarin songs catch the mood of people graphically who leave their hometown and work in foreign countries, and his Taiwanese (Min-nan) songs are tornados striking the deepest parts of Taiwanese soul. Especially for the Taiwanese from the south part of Taiwan, the Kaohsiung city, his songs recall their memories about their hometown and strongly beat their hearts. The melody of his Taiwanese (Min-nan) songs focus on the life in urban, depict them with rock style and compose them to be speedy and powerful. Its totally different from those old school Taiwanese (Min-nan) songs which are full of broken hearts, view of harbors, and drunks. However, there are still some familiar Taiwanese taste could be found in these works. That’s why they are popular with all the ages of Taiwanese. The song we are going to play is a moderato rock song called "Made in Taiwan" (台灣製造). It used lots of elements from a kind of traditional Taiwan ceremony, a march of spirits patrolman. The other special things of Taiwan, the electronic floats, are also be included in this song. It shows a joyful atmosphere of Taiwan celebration. The lyrics said that all the raw materials are form different countries of the worlds, but the best quality products are assembling in Taiwan. It is a metaphor of the economy style of Taiwan, the kingdom of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). It s also the ideal picture of Taiwan, in Wu Bai s mind. Singer Jiang Huei (江惠)Song Name Wife (家後) hanocha4857.jpg The song "wife" (家後) was written by Jheng Jin-yi (鄭進一), the magical Taiwan song writer, and sung by Jiang Huei (江惠), the famous Taiwanese diva. It is about a traditional Taiwanese woman and her marriage. Once married, traditional Taiwanese women always pay everything for her husband and family without any regret. We could feel their ordinary happiness from the spouses dialog in the lyrics. Here s the background story that truly happened before A poor girl was sold to a rich guy to be his daughter-in-law reluctantly; however, after the rich family went down, she still kept dedicatied herself to operate the family. The couple in the story were just like the common Taiwan couples, or even all couples around the world, living in a usual life. They might quarrel for trivial things, and worry about their kid s future. But one day, when the couple got old and older, all children left home and formed their own family. The boy and the girl, oh, I should say, the old grandpa and grandmom still got together living a calm and happy life till the last day of life. That is the true ending of the story. Singer Huang Ke-lin (黃克林)Song Name Going Backwards (倒退嚕) hanocha4858.jpg The song, "Going Backwards" (倒退嚕), is a very popular song among traditional Taiwanese culture, often used in many traditional occasions such as religious activities, weddings, funerals, and various celebrations. Especially in the Chinese Ghost Festival . Being a combination of Taiwanese folk and religious music, this is a song with traditional Taiwanese style. Please join us and enjoy the song "Going Backwards". The song is composed by Taiwanese singer Huang Ke-lin (黃克林). Huang Ke-lin started his career by hosting radio shows. Due to his unique and humorous hosting style, the radio show soon became very popular in Taiwanese society. Many clubs or live shows invited him to sing on the stages, but Huang refused them all. One thing is that he was busy hosting radio shows, another was that he thought that he would stay in the radio show field so that everyone can have the opportunity to earn money. That is Huang s values. In Huang s mind, Taiwanese music should not be limited to love songs only. The level of Taiwanese music was stalled due to too many love songs. In 1990, Taiwanese singer Lin Qiang (林強) composed a song "Go Ahead" (向前走) which had a unique rock-and-roll style. The song set a milestone for the Taiwanese music industry. To respond to this change, Huang wrote this song "Going Backwards". At first, he just played the song in his radio shows to amuse his audiences. But beyond his imagination , the song "Going backwards" gained huge popularity. He then released a new album based on this song without any fancy packaging or advertisements. Since Huang became a composer, only a few songs were composed fully by himself. But the songs he wrote himself are mostly "Advices for Society" or songs promoting important morals. He said "Only meaningful songs could live forever , while the popular ones would disappear soon." The song was also popular among traditional Taiwanese culture. It is no doubt a true Taiwanese rock-and-roll song. Singer The Clippers (夾子電動大樂隊) Song Name Turn On the Disco Ball! (轉吧!七彩霓虹燈) hanocha4860.jpg In traditional Taiwanese culture, weddings and funerals are equally important. Therefore, the ceremony is usually a luxurious extravaganza for everyone to participate. Singer Labor Exchange band (交工樂隊)Song Name The Night March of the Chrysanthemums (菊花夜行軍) hanocha4859.jpg Dear all Vippers and Huppers, we are gong to introduce one the most representative Hakka song. It’s called "The Night March of the Chrysanthemums" (菊花夜行軍). The chrysanthemum is a kind of flower with thousands petals, and Hakka is a dialect of Taiwan. This song was composed by 交工樂團 (Labor exchange Band). In 1999, the labor exchange Band was established by five young people. They are the vocal Lin Sheng-siang (林生祥), the Bass Chen Guan-yu (陳冠宇), the drummer Jhong Cheng-da (鐘成達), one suona horn player Guo Jin-cai (郭進財), and one poet Jhong Yong-fong (鐘永豐). These people tried to mix the traditional Hakka folks with rock music, and then composed them into elaborate pieces. Their albums not only present the Hakka culture, but also depict the reality of the Taiwan farming villages of the 90’s. "The Night March of the Chrysanthemums" is just a song like that. It’s a story about a Chrysanthemums farmer. After Taiwan joined WTO (World Trade Organization), the decrease of customs impacted framers’ life deeply. The price of chrysanthemum, like other agricultural products, was avoidless going down. One day, this worried farmer came to his greenhouse at midnight. He looked at these flowers, and thought about how to earn money by them. Those personalized chrysanthemums seem to know what he worries about. They hold a night march in front of him and show him that his hard work at farm had made them competitively enough to against any stress from WTO. In this composition, they collected some live sounds, such as throttle of ox cart, or whistle, and use suona horn, a kind of traditional Chinese instrument, to imitate the sound of motorcycles. Those sounds worked together harmonically and created a picture of farming village. Moreover, the personalized chrysanthemums in the lyrics bring the song a magic realistic style. Furthermore, the word "Night March" has some special meaning to Tappers, because staring from game5; the night attack is always Tappers’ favorite tactic. When you think about other clickers are bearing the sleepiness and keep clicking in such a deep night just like you , you will feel like all the clickers are bond together. Please enjoy it, "The Night March of the Chrysanthemums". I wish the helplessness can be exchanged to the sounds of nature in spring night. And I wish now and future can be filled with the fresh air of fall. I identified my mind carefully. Say goodbye say goodbye, I raised my head and move my steps without any regret. The craze for the game could rival that for the Click Click Click game we are participating right now. With the participation of 16 countries, the baseball fans in Taiwan, the hosting country, were the most enthusiastic among all. The final for the 3rd place was Taiwan, or Chinese Taipei, playing against Japan. TW06 動力火車《繼續轉動》/ "Moving On" by Power Station hanocha6585.jpg The passion of summer has been passed on year by year, and it has never stopped. The baseball players on the ball fields are always keep fighting. If they fail, they would just stand up again; If they win, they would work harder towards a higher level in the next year. From the Koshien high school baseball tournament in Japan to the Chinese Professional Baseball League(CPBL) in Taiwan, or even as far as Williamsport in the U.S., where the Little League Baseball is held. No matter what stages they are on, they all share the same persistence towards their goals. The passion has also infected the people by the side of the field, even everyone around it. As for those people who withdrew from the battle fields they were fighting on, they still keep the spirits of "never-give-up" in other territories. Let us shout out loud with cheering sounds. Even though the glory never seem to exist, still, the passion deep inside our hearts cannot wait to burst out. No matter what s going on, don t let our vigor be extinguished, always keep our passion "moving on". Power Station is a rock band formed by two vocals, Yen Chi-lin(顏志琳) and Yu Chiu-hsin(尤秋興). Both of them are tribesmen of Paiwan, an aboriginal tribe in Taiwan. The members of Power Station love baseball very much, and finally, their wishes were fulfilled. After "Open Sky"(打開天空) was officially designated as the fight song for the Chinese Taipei Baseball Team in the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, the Power Station recieved another chance to perform the theme song for the 20th anniversary of the CPBL in 2009. So they wrote the song "Moving On"(繼續轉動, literally "keep spinning"). Hopefully, the passion will still "moving on" after the CPBL reduced to only four teams as the same scale of the first-year CPBL . In the lyrics, Power Station expressed their passion of baseball to both the fans of their music and baseball. At the same time, they published their latest album since four years ago.
